Q: I used to need a prescription to get Latisse. Is that not the case anymore? Also can you tell me what the expiration date is on this Latisse. I have some that I'm using now and don't want to get something that will be past date by the time I want to use it.
Thanks

Hello Kathy,
In regards to your prescription question. Not in this case because Skinthology.com has been approved by Allergan to sell Latisse online as long as the Intake and Informed Consent form is filled out. Furthermore, Allergan considers personal communication with each patient in the form of e-mail/phone as a sufficient replacement for a handwritten prescription.
We just ordered a new lot from Allergan, so the expiration date will at a minimum be more than 1 year. Keep in mind, with regular use the 3 ml bottle should be used up in approximately 30 days.

Q: How long does one box last? how many applications and how often is it applied?
Jean Lusby, posted January 26 at 11:56 AM
Hello Jean,
One box lasts 30 days. Each box contains 60 applicators.
Instructions:
Ensure the face is thoroughly clean and contact lenses are removed. Once nightly, place one drop of LATISSE® on the disposable sterile applicator supplied with the package and apply evenly along the skin of the upper eyelid margin at the base of the eyelashes. The upper lid margin in the area of lash growth should feel lightly moist without runoff. Blot any excess solution runoff outside the upper eyelid margin with a tissue or other absorbent cloth. Dispose of the applicator after one use. Repeat for the opposite eye using a new sterile applicator.

Q: Is there a risk of brown pigment in my blue eyes still?
Brooke, posted January 26 at 1:01 PM
Hello Brooke, This is from the Allergan Latisse website: http://www.latisse.com/default.aspx "Important Safety Information If you use/used prescription products for eye pressure problems, use LATISSE® under doctor care. LATISSE® may cause increased brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye which is likely permanent. Eyelid skin darkening may occur and may be reversible. Only apply at the base of upper lashes. DO NOT APPLY to lower lid. Hair may grow on skin that LATISSE® frequently touches. If you have eye problems/surgery, consult your doctor about use of LATISSE®. Common side effects are itchy and red eyes. If discontinued, lashes gradually return to previous appearance." From the training sessions we have attended, Allergan has never had any reported cases of this actually happening though.

Cindy, posted January 30 at 9:40 PM
Hello Cindy,
You actually need to continue to use Latisse every day. If you stop using Latisse, the results will gradually diminish just like Botox. Price per application of Latisse is pretty minimal.

Q: I have been using the product for religiously for over a month and have seen absolutely NO change whatsoever in my lashes. Is there any point in my continuing it or does it just not work for some people?
Susan Rollins, posted January 31 at 9:32 PM
LATISSE® users may see results at 8 weeks with full results at 12 to 16 weeks. The growth is gradual and over time.
Spreedbird, posted February 1 at 10:42 PM
Hi Susan,
How are you applying the product? Make sure you're using once a day at night. If you're skipping days, you won't receive optimal results. Full results with Latisse can take upwards of 4 months.
Skinthology, posted February 5 at 1:42 PM
Q: Will Latisse also work on the eye brows?
CJ, posted February 1 at 5:14 PM
While it may seem like a good idea, Latisse® was only approved by the FDA to use on your upper eyelashes. Clinical Studies have not been done to see if Latisse will grow your eyebrows.
