Q: I am thinking of purchasing one
The car I am buying this for does not have an auxiliary plug. As I understand how this works, the car does not need to have an auxiliary because the transmitter is blue tooth. Is that correct?
Linn, posted December 8 at 12:29 AM
This device broadcast music from your iphone/ipad/ipod and it can be picked up by your cars radio by tuning your radio station to the broadcast channel the transmitter is using. Example being if you set the fm transmitter to 102.7 and you set your cars radio to the same station you would here the music from your device and not the radio.
However you must select a fm channel you currently aren't receiving a radio signal on in your car.

Q: Follow up question. What I need to know is,"does the car need an auxilary plug? As I understand it does not because it is blue tooth.
linn, posted December 8 at 12:40 AM
No auxiliary plug is needed. This device is not Bluetooth, it transmits radio frequencies, the same ones your in car stereo picks up from radio stations.
