Q: Hi there....I'm 27 and interested in some botox between my eyebrows. I've developed two slight lines I guess from squinting. Is 20 units on average enough to cover this area? Also what is your charge for additional units of botox?

Hi Mariah, from your description it seems that you are very good candidate for botox! Botox is most effective for "dynamic" lines and wrinkles which are created as a result of contraction of underlying muscles (e.g. squinting in your case). As time goes and if left untreated, these dynamic lines become permanent and botox won't be that effective on them anymore. So botox treatment can help you a lot at this stage and remove the lines and prevent them from becoming permanent. As for the number of units needed, the doctor will discuss that with you during the visit as the number of units varies from person to person and depending on the muscle tone and other factors, but 20 units should be enough for that area on general. If additional botox is needed, it will be $10 per unit. Thanks!
